The Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce will be present at the Eastern Mediterranean Energy Conference & Exhibition (EMC 2025), taking place on 20-21 October 2025 in Limassol, Cyprus.
The Chamber will be present at Stand 622 throughout the two-day event, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening business relations and cooperation between Italy and Cyprus in the strategic energy sector, which has historically represented one of the areas of greatest interest in terms of cooperation.
An important moment this year will be a Smart Talk – Live session scheduled for Monday, 20th October 2025 at 15:30 at the Chamber’s booth (Stand 622) entitled “Italy-Cyprus: Cooperation and Opportunities in the Mediterranean. The role of the Chamber System as a bridge between institutions and businesses in the area.“
Among others, Hon. Federica Onori, Member of the Italian Parliament and Secretary of the Standing Committee on Foreign and European Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies, and Hon. Harris Georgiades, Member of the Cyprus Parliament and Chairperson of the equivalent committee, will participate.
The session will explore the vital role that chambers of commerce play in facilitating dialogue and creating concrete opportunities for collaboration between Italian and Cypriot institutions and businesses in the broader Mediterranean region.

The President of ITA – Italian Trade Agency Matteo Zoppas and the President of Istat Francesco Maria Chelli presented on July 16th, at the ICE headquarters in Rome, the ICE 2024/25 Report and the Istat – ICE 2025 Yearbook.
The event featured the important participation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani and the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso.
The ICE Report constitutes the main tool for information and analysis on the competitive positioning of the Italian production system in the context of the global economy, while the Istat-ICE Yearbook is the result of collaboration between the National Institute of Statistics and ICE, with the objective of providing economic operators with a comprehensive information base on Italian trade in goods and services and foreign direct investments.
The Report highlights the importance of coordinated action in developing the Italian system abroad, and in this regard, during the presentation, the role of bilateral Chambers of Commerce in facilitating trade relations and opening new markets for Italian excellence was repeatedly mentioned.
The Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce proudly confirms its commitment to contributing to achieving the ambitious goal of 700 billion euros in exports, actively supporting Italian companies present in Cyprus and throughout the entire Mediterranean region.

The Chamber System plays a fundamental role in the development of the Blue Economy, a sector of historic interest for the Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, which participated in the Blue Forum proceedings, opened by Minister Urso and structured over multiple days, on the occasion of the presentation of the XIII Blue Economy Report prepared by the Tagliacarne Study Center of Unioncamere.
The Blue Economy represents a strategic pillar for the sustainable development of the Mediterranean, a geographical area of particular relevance for the activities of the Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce. The report highlights the growing importance of this economic sector, which encompasses all productive activities related to the sea and marine resources.

The European Parliament hosted the launch of the “Invest in Lazio” initiative, a strategic project promoted by the Lazio Region in collaboration with Lazio Innova to attract foreign investments in the Lazio territory.
The event, hosted by the Vice President of the European Parliament Antonella Sberna, represented a moment of great institutional relevance, emphasizing the importance of synergies between European, national and regional institutions for the economic development of the territory.

The Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Sigma Group, through its media company S.G. Worldwide, has joined the Chamber as a new member. In this framework a productive meeting was held in Limassol between Eman Pulis, Founder and CEO of Sigma Group, and Giuseppe Marino, President of the Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, along with Vice President Costas Katsaros (also President of the Cyprus-Italy Business Association).
The meeting marked the beginning of a strategic collaboration that will see the Chamber provide institutional support for Sigma Group’s flagship conference “Sigma Central Europe”, scheduled to take place at Fiera di Roma, Italy from 3 to 6 November this year. The event is expected to attract approximately 30,000 delegates and 550 expert speakers from across the gaming and emerging technologies sectors.

The Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Italian Federation of Aerospace, Defence, and Security Industries (AIAD – Federazione Aziende Italiane per l’Aerospazio, la Difesa e la Sicurezza) and the Cyprus Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises (CARIE).
The strategic agreement was signed during the second day of the prestigious international Defence and Security exhibition DEFEA 2025 in Athens, marking a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Italian and Cypriot defence industry ecosystems.
A Framework for Enhanced Collaboration
The ceremony took place at the Italian pavilion at DEFEA, with Tasos Kounoudes, President of the Cyprus Association, signing on behalf of CARIE, and Carlo Festucci, Secretary General of AIAD signing on behalf of the Italian Federation. The signing was witnessed among others Luisa Riccardi, Deputy National Director of Armaments at the Italian Ministry of Defence, Federico Franchina, Vice President of the Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, and Andreas Andreou, Deputy Secretary General of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).
