On 20 January 2026, the President of the Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, Giuseppe Marino, accompanied by Vice Presidents Federico Franchina and Costas Katsaros, met with the CEO of Invest Cyprus, Marios Tannousis, to discuss a programme of initiatives aimed at further developing bilateral cooperation between the two countries and at promoting Cyprus as a strategic investment destination for Italian businesses.
The meeting took place approximately one month after the 8th Cypriot-Italian Business Forum, held in Rome on 11 December 2025, during which the CEO of Invest Cyprus had announced the imminent launch of a direct dialogue with the Chamber, with the objective of discussing and planning joint initiatives to be carried out throughout 2026.
