Panayiotis Hadjipandelis

I was born on 11th August 1966 in Famagusta.
I graduated from the Pancyprian High School in 1984.
For 30 months I served my military service at the 70th engineers’ battalion as a Lieutenant.
In January 1987, I went to London where I studied Accounting.
In December 1991, I finished my studies and obtained the Professional Title of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA).
I am also a member of the Association of International Accountants (FAIA) and the Association of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus. Furthermore, I have a post graduate diploma in Business Administration which I obtained at Manchester Business School.
After completing my studies, in Dec 1991 I started working at C. Charles and Co an Audit firm in London.
In November 1993, I returned to Cyprus and began my career at Kostouris and Michaelides Auditing Firm, where I only worked for 5 months because in April 1994 I was recruited as an Assistant Auditor General in the Audit Department of The Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus.
In September 2003, I was appointed as a Chief Financial Officer of The Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus,
In January 1st 2013 I was promoted to the position of Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Group of Companies of Hellenic Mining Company PLC (HMC), a company owned by the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus.
Furthermore, from 2015 to 2022 I was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of HERMES AIRPORTS LTD a company which operates the two main airports of Cyprus.
In December 2012, I was elected as President of the City of Yialousa for a period of five years.
In December 2016 I was re-elected in the same position for another five years term.
I am also a Vice President of the Cyprus Badminton Federation a position I serve since September 2015.
